We may add to, delete from, or revise the Terms or contents of this Website at any time without notice, and such revisions shall become effective immediately upon the posting thereof. By using this Website, you are deemed to agree to be bound by such revisions. Therefore, you should periodically read the Terms to keep up to date with these.

I. Ownership of Rights and Limitation of Use of Contents
All content on this Website is owned by DENSO or its licensors, including without limitation all copyrights, patents, trademarks, and other intellectual property rights related to that content. DENSO authorizes you to copy material published on the Website for use in support of DENSO products only, on condition that the copied material retains all copyright and other proprietary rights in the same manner as the original. No other use of contents is authorised, and no licenses are granted. No contents on the Website may be otherwise copied, modified, translated, distributed, published, or used without the prior permission of the owner of the contents. All contents on the Website are protected by copyright.

II. Disclaimers of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law the contents on the website are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express, statutory or implied (including, but not limited to, any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, or non-infringement of third parties' rights), or arising from a course of dealing, usage, or trade practice.

Reasonable efforts will be used to upload accurate and up-to-date information, but otherwise there is no warranty that the contents of the website are error-free, accurate, complete, or timely. Product specifications are estimated using specific systems, components, and procedures. Differences in design, configuration, and conditions may affect how products perform.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither DENSO or its affiliates are liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, or other damages (including but not limited to, economic losses, lost profits, lost business opportunities, lost revenues, or lost data) arising out of the access to or inability to access to this website or any subsites even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

V. Transmitted Materials
DENSO does not want to receive confidential or proprietary information from you through the Website. Any materials, information, or ideas that you transmit to the Website ("Transmitted Material") is deemed non-confidential and non-proprietary and we have no obligations to you in connection with the Transmitted Material. We may use the Transmitted Material for any purpose whatsoever, including without limitation, for developing, manufacturing and marketing products and services. Notwithstanding the foregoing, all personal information (that is any information which identifies an individual) provided to this Website will be handled in accordance with our privacy policy on this Website — before providing personal information, be sure to check this.

VI. Other Prohibited Uses
You are prohibited from using this Website for any purpose that is unlawful, threatening, libellous, defamatory, obscene, scandalous, inflammatory, pornographic, misleading, tortious, profane, infringing, damaging or in any manner that could give rise to any civil or criminal liability under the law.

VII. Downloads
Download of programs and data files, including without limitation drivers, .exe files, zip files, .pdf files, and documentation, is only permitted on the condition that you agree with the Licensor's applicable terms of use, you use the downloaded program or file strictly in support of the products of DENSO or its affiliates as authorized and you do not export or re-export programs or files without appropriate government licenses.

VIII. Applicable Laws
The Website is controlled by DENSO. You are responsible for compliance with local laws. Access from jurisdictions where the content is illegal is prohibited. Any claim relating to the Website, its use, and content is governed by the laws of Australia.

IX. Indemnity
You shall defend, indemnify, and hold harmless DENSO, its affiliates and their directors, other officers, successors, assigns, agents, service providers, suppliers and employees, and hold them harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorney fees and court costs, made by any third party due to or arising out of your misuse of the Website, your violation of the Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.

X. Severability
If any provision(s) of these Terms are held to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, such provision(s) shall be enforced to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and the validity, legality and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not in any way be affected or impaired.

XI. Privacy
We handle personal data that you provide in accordance with our privacy policy.

XII. Other Applicable Terms of Use and E-commerce
The Terms apply to your use of this site unless you have executed a separate agreement with DENSO governing such site use.

 

WARRANTY POLICY

For products that are covered under a vehicle manufacturer warranty, refer to the DENSO warranty period as tabled below. In some cases, the OEM may provide a greater warranty period than what DENSO offers. Should this occur, DENSO will not be liable for the gap period.

DENSO offers a standard 12-month warranty on all exchange items processed through the website (warranty exchange and trade exchange), and a 3-month warranty on all Repairs processed through the DENSO Website.

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The warranty only applies to the distribution of DENSO products in Australia.
The warranty does not apply to the purchase of a DENSO product from a source other than the DENSO website or an Authorised Australian DENSO Dealer.
Ex-demonstration and pre-owned products are not covered by warranty.
The warranty applies only to the original purchaser of the product and are not transferable to subsequent owners.
The warranty begins from the date of purchase specified on the consumer’s receipt of purchase.
Subject to the exclusions below, the warranty covers failure of components, or failure of the product, to operate in accordance with the published product specification at time of production. Repairs and service will be carried out at no cost to the owner. Cost for non-warrantable repair or replacement of the product in all other cases will be the responsibility of the owner. The warranty does not include product failure or damage that in DENSO’s reasonable opinion is the result of failure to take good care of the product, for example because of unreasonable environmental conditions, dust, liquid damage, intrusion of foreign objects, accident, misuse or improper installation or the result of an external connection or association with electronic equipment of other types.
The warranty does not cover a product that has the serial number removed, detached or defaced or the warranty seal damaged or a product that has been adjusted, altered or modified without the consent of DENSO.
The warranty does not cover vehicle electrical or wiring faults.
Warranties do not apply in instances where connected devices may not be compatible. Devices are designed to operate in accordance with the published product specification at time of production however this can change over time outside of DENSO’s control.
The warranty does not include any liability for any form of consequential loss.
The warranty does not include expenses associated with a warranty claim such as removal and re-installation costs, freight and transport costs.
Repair warranty covers invoiced parts only.

 

REFUND AND RETURNS

REFUND POLICY

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
DENSO offers a “change of mind” policy on Warranty and Trade Exchanges (see Warranty and Trade Exchanges below).

TRADE EXCHANGES

Should a supplied Trade Exchange unit not be required upon receipt, you may return the unit.
You will be credited the invoice amount less a restocking fee.
The unit must be unused in original condition and returned within the return date shown on the Despatch Advice (typically 14 days).
Units that are not returned within the specified period will be regarded as a non-return unit, see the section Non-Returns for fees and charges.
To return a unit, simply tick the checkbox labelled “Unit unused-customer didn’t return/change of mind” on the Despatch Advice that accompanied the unit.
Instructions for unit return and arranging collection are stated on the despatch advice.

WARRANTY EXCHANGES

Should a supplied Warranty exchange unit not be required upon receipt, you may return the unit at no cost.
The unit must be unused in original condition and returned within the return date shown on the Despatch Advice (typically 14 days).
Units that are not returned within the specified period will be regarded as a non-return unit, see the section Non-Returns for fees and charges.
To return a unit, simply tick the checkbox labelled “Unit unused-customer didn’t return/change of mind” on the Despatch Advice that accompanied the unit.

REPAIRS

Quote fees apply to back to base repairs. Fees are waived should repair be accepted.

All Repairs are final and non-refundable.
All postage/courier costs are at the customer’s expense.
Repairs that have been quoted or repaired but not paid for (either quote fee or repair fee) will be held for 90 days, after which time the unit will be disposed of.

SPARE PARTS

DENSO does not sell spare parts.

NON-RETURN FEES

30 Days Late: Exchange units not returned within 30 days from despatch date will incur a late-return fee per item.
60 Days Late: Exchange units not returned within 60 days from despatch date will be invoiced as a non-return per item.
Exchange units returned after being invoiced as late returns or non-return will not be subject to a refund.
Your account may be placed on hold and no further exchanges will permitted until the account is fully settled.

 

SHIPPING POLICY

Shipments from DENSO are delivered by Star Track and are tracked with a package tracking number to ensure your order arrives safe and secure. Expected delivery times are within 1-5 business days for metropolitan areas, and within 5-10 business days for remote regions. All deliveries will need to be signed for, so please make sure you choose your delivery address carefully. Star Track does not offer pick up from their depots. For security reasons, we will not delivery to a PO Box, AFPO, PMB or Locked Bag.
We only ship items within Australia.
For inward freight, we recommended that you use a freight company that provides tracking. It is the dealer’s/user’s responsibility to package items safely to ensure safe arrival. DENSO will not be liable for damaged items in transit.

If you experience any problems with your shipment, please contact us immediately so that we can investigate this for you and resolve the matter.

 

PRIVACY POLICY

DENSO is committed to respecting your privacy. This policy provides you with information about the types of information about individuals that we may collect when you visit this site, how we use that information, whether we disclose it to anyone and the individual’s rights to access and correct that information and to make complaints about interference with privacy. This policy does not apply to webpages that are linked to our site. Nor does this policy apply to information provided to us by other companies.

COLLECTION AND USE OF INFORMATION

We track the internet addresses of people who visit our sites and analyse this data for trends and statistics, but this does not tell us your name or street address and to this extent this data is anonymous.
Our sites use cookies to better serve you when you browse our site. Cookies are identifiers that include unique characters but do not take away from your anonymity. Most browsers can be set to alert you when you are sent a cookie so that you can refuse to receive it if you wish.
Our site may include online options, offers and services that require you to provide your name, email address and other information including in relation to products you have purchased from us (“personal information”). If you do not provide this information, we will not be able to extend those options, offers and services to you. We hold the personal information in an online database and use this to provide you with information about related products and services that may be of interest to you (“requested information”) and for related purposes.
We may also use your personal information to inform you of additional products, services or opportunities, for example, post sales services, product or service questionnaires or announcements of new sales campaigns and/ or special gifts. However, we will only do this if you agree to this when you register your personal information and you do not subsequently notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information.

DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We do not disclose personal information to anyone else unless:
this is necessary to provide you with requested information or for a related purpose (if so, disclosure will generally be to affiliated companies or service providers such as our contracted website development and maintenance provider);
this is required or authorised by law; or you have given your consent.

TRANSFER OF PERSONAL INFORMATION OUTSIDE AUSTRALIA

We do not currently intend to disclose your personal information to a person outside Australia (“overseas recipient”). DENSO is, however, part of an international group (the “DENSO Group”) with the head office in Japan and operations in other countries in the world. Accordingly, it is possible that in the future we may disclose your personal information to an overseas recipient within the DENSO Group in order to provide you with requested information or for a related purpose. By using our site, you are deemed to give your consent to this disclosure of personal information to DENSO Group members. Your consent will mean that we are not obliged to take steps to ensure that the recipient of the information complies with Australian privacy requirements.

You can gain access to your personal information, subject to some limited exceptions allowed by law.

ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

DENSO shall plan, establish, document, implement, maintain and continually improve policies, procedures and practices that meet the requirements of a certified Environmental Management System (EMS) to ISO14001.
The Environmental Management System (ISO14001) shall be in harmony with the SMS (Safety Management System) and the Quality Management System (ISO9001).
We are committed to complying with current applicable environmental legal requirements and other requirements to which we subscribe.
We shall track and monitor our carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, energy consumption, waste streams and any other parent company agreed environmental impact. Wherever reasonably possible we shall strive to reduce the environmental impacts.
In conjunction with our parent company, customers, suppliers and interested parties we shall investigate ways to reduce the impact on the environment.
We shall establish, implement, maintain and monitor the company environmental performance through our objectives, measures and targets.
Wherever reasonably practicable and/or economical we shall reduce, reuse and recycle packaging and wastes.
We shall make this environmental policy available to our employees, the public on the company website and periodically be reviewed to ensure continued suitability.
